AUGUST, Sophie J. – Of Flint, age 91, died Tuesday, August 24, 2021 at her daughter’s home, surrounded by her loving family.
Cremation has taken place.
Sophie was born in Gladwin, Michigan on July 23, 1930, the daughter of the late Joseph and Stella (Kososki) Simsack.
On September 3, 1948 she married Jack W. August in Flint and he preceded her in death in 1983.
She loved to bowl, enjoyed gardening, the birds and flowers.
Surviving are daughters, Suzanne (Doug) Adkins, Debra (David) Cupp, Pamela Creg and Cheryl Hawkins;
grandchildren, April Smith, Shad Wallen, Danny Douglass, Duane Douglass, Cyndy Smith, Marc Creg and Becky Hawkins;
6 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack; son-in-law, Bruce and granddaughters, Tracy and Angel.
