Olive (Ollie) Ehlert – Age 96, went to be with the Lord on Friday, January 2, 2015. Per her wishes cremation has already taken place. No Memorial Service will be held. Just take a moment to remember her and how she touched your life. Ollie was born May 12, 1918 in Woodstock, Ontario, Canada daughter of the late Ernest and Mabel Grimstead. She live most of her life in Detroit where she met and married Norman Ehlert on August 23, 1947, he preceded her in death on October 15, 1985. She has lived in Homestead, Florida, Long View, Texas, Davisburg, Michigan, Flint, Michigan and in Fenton, Michigan. Ollie was very involved in her church, study groups and her church family. Through her life she has enjoyed her many pets, playing card and board games, embroidery, reading and family and friend gatherings. Surviving are her two daughters, Sue Ann (Marv) Vermillion, of Dryden, MI, Sharon (Robert) Winstead of Davison, MI. Daughter-in-law, Twila Roys of Long View, Texas, Sister-in-law, Nancy Grimstead of Warren, MI. Grandchildren, Todd Roys, Tiffany (William) Smolter and Zachary Hillard, 7 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son, Thomas Roys, brothers, Jack, Robert, Donald, Skip and George Grimstead.
