DIMOCK, Doris A. – Of Flint, age 87, died Thursday, November 8, 2018 at StoryPoint Assisted Living.
Memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, November 14, 2018 at the Calvary Community Church, 1201 West Twelfth Street, Flint, Pastor Sarah LaRose-Nettell officiating.
Burial in Crestwood Cemetery.
Those desiring may make contributions to the Humane Society of Genesee County.
Visitation 11 a.m. Wednesday until the time of the service at the church.
Doris was born in Flint, Michigan on August 29, 1931, the daughter of Allen and Grace Stevenson. She was a volunteer with the Hurley Auxiliary.
She was a member of Calvary Community Church.
Mrs. Dimock was a registered nurse at Hurley Medical Center for 25 years, retiring in 1991.
Surviving are 3 children, Karen Hernandez of Sacramento, California, Steven and wife Sue Wilson of Auburn, California and David (Sandy) Wilson of Rockford, Michigan;
4 grandchildren, Andrea Saldivar, Anthony (Brandi) Hernandez, Samantha and Christine Wilson;
4 great-grandchildren, Mia and Logan Hernandez, Liam Farrand and Marcus Saldivar;
special friends, Janie (Barry) Kirby, Maximus Kirby and Evelin (Helen) Ponder;
many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Dimock, in 1993; daughter, Sharon Wilson, in 1953; her parents; sister, Ruth Lenkowski and companion Paul Bodis.
