Keith Traver, age 95, a lifelong resident of Columbiaville died July 16, 2022 at Stonegate Nursing in Lapeer.
Keith was born July 5, 1927 in Columbiaville, Michigan to the late Milan and Mary. He later married Peggy Callahan on July 15, 1950 in Lapeer, Michigan. Keith served his country honorably in the Merchant Marines during WW II, and was a member of the American Legion Post #16 in Lapeer. He retired from Earl C. Smith trucking in 1984 after 34 years of driving. Keith was a member of the Columbiaville Historical Society and has previously served on the Columbiaville Village Council. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, taking trips up to the casino, working on his yard & garden, and playing euchre.
Keith is survived by his children: Jeanette Bennett, Jeffery (Sherry) Traver, Julie (Charles) Cox, grandchildren: Melissa (Aaron) Husted, Nicole (Keith) Pardee, Angela (Mike) Howard, Elijah Cox, Evan Cox, Ian Cox, Adam (Devon) Traver, Eric (Gabbi) Traver, great grandchildren: Ryan, Morgan, Hannah, Reese, Lucas, Grace, Mason, Riley, Liam, Makenna, Amelia, Daxton, Isla, and special friend Charlotte Barr. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and sister Edna Orrson.
Funeral service 11:00 AM on Friday, July 22, 2022 at Jansen Family Funeral Home - Columbiaville, where family & friends may visit Thursday 3:00 to 7:00 PM. Pastor Roger Keur officiating. Interment Wood Lawn Cemetery,
