BECK, Jerry Eugene – Of Grand Blanc, age 75, died Wednesday, January 29, 2014 at Genesys Regional Medical Center.
Funeral service will be held at 12 Noon Tuesday, February 4, 2014 at New Life Christian Fellowship Church, 2237 Reid Road, Grand Blanc, Reverend Bob Roberts officiating.
Burial in Flint Memorial Park.
Those desiring may make contributions to the American Cancer Society.
Visitation 1-4 and 6-8 p.m. Monday at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road.
Mr. Beck will be at the church from 11 a.m. Tuesday until the time of the service.
Jerry was born in Gustin Township, Michigan on September 12, 1938,
the son of Charles Edward and Mabel Aleta (Dafoe) Beck and was a resident of Grand Blanc.
On September 24, 1988 he married Dorothy Rosemary Myers in Flint.
He was a member of New Life Christian Fellowship Church.
He loved to work with wood, loved his farm up north in Posen. He was an avid reader, enjoyed history and western movies and loved going to church.
Jerry accepted Jesus Christ as his Savior at the age of 16 and remained steadfast in his faith throughout his life.
Mr. Beck was employed by GM for 24 years as a Tool & Die Maker and he retired on January 1, 1997.
Surviving are wife, Dorothy;
daughter, P. Diane (Scott) Gripentrog;
son, David Esio;
son, Donald (Karen) Michael;
daughter, Vickie (Larry) Baldwin;
son, Michael(Mindy) Mills;
son, Rick Kipp;
daughter, Alicia Beck;
daughter, Kathleen Beck;
son, Harry Beck and
daughter, Amanda Beck;
16 grandchildren;
12 great-great-grandchildren;
2 brothers, Charles Beck and James (Norma) Beck, sister, Rae Anne Beck;
also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his first wife Ramona, second wife Madolyn, parents, sister Velda Beck, sons David Kipp and Wesley Mills and sister-in-law Sherry Beck.
