SKAGGS, Ivan Lee - age 83, of Flushing, died October 12, 2020. Due to Covid-19 restrictions, private services will be held and a memorial service may be held at a later date.. Ivan was born March 23, 1937 in Senath, MO, the son of Pink and Gillie Mae (Gibson) Skaggs. He married Shirley Skaggs on June 11, 1955 in Flint. He served in the U.S. Army and retired from GM Ternstedt in 1995 after 40 years of service as an electrician. Ivan was a life time member of the Masonic Temple and Shriners. He was also a member of the American Legion, the Moose and the Eagles. He enjoyed bowling, playing guitar and singing. Surviving are: wife, Shirley Skaggs; daughter, Brenda (David) Lakies of Owosso; son, Lee Skaggs of Clio; five grandchildren, Chad (Bethany) Lakies, Jaime (Andy) Borland, Sean Lakies, Kevin Skaggs, and Steven Skaggs; Five great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by: his parents; four brothers, Carl, Howard, Otis and Marvin Skaggs; and sister, Lillie Bailey. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Shriners Hospital for Children. Arrangements by Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road Chapel, Swartz Creek, MI 48473.
