James Melvin Stevens, age 69, of Otter Lake went to be with his Lord and Savior on April 3, 2021 at Ascension Genesys in Grand Blanc.
James was born November 17, 1951 to Melvin and Margaret Stevens. He married Mary Lou Johns on March 1, 1975 and they started a family.
James attended the Richfield Church of the Nazarene. He retired from GM Truck & Bus in 2001. James enjoyed camping up in Glennie, Michigan, in his earlier years he was an avid hunter and fisherman, but most of all he was known as a hard worker that loved spending time with family and friends.
James is survived by his wife Mary Lou, son Zachariah (Kimberly) Stevens, sister Betty (Kevin) Broughton. He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters Millie Ingison, and Diane Carter.
Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of James’s Life will take place 1:00 PM on Saturday, June 12, 2021 at the Richfield Church of the Nazarene, where friends may visit 11:00 AM till the time of service. Arrangements entrusted to Jansen Family Funeral Home - Columbiaville. Memorial contributions in memory of James may be made to the Richfield Church of the Nazarene.
