POPE, DOLORES M. “DEE” – Of Columbiaville, age 70, died Monday, July 24, 2023 at Lapeer-McLaren.
Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, July 29, 2023
at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Dr. Max B. Hayden officiating.
Entombment at Flint Memorial Park.
Visitation 1 p.m. – 8 p.m. Friday, July 28,2023 and 1 p.m. Saturday, July 29, 2023 until the time of the service at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint.
Dolores was born in Flint, Michigan on July 9, 1953, the daughter of the late James W. and Jeanette H. (Reckman) Rupright.
On April 13, 1979 she married Joseph Pope.
Dolores worked for Dr. David Kowal for 30 years.
She was a fun loving woman, very caring and considerate of others.
She loved gardening, especially with her granddaughter, Brooklyn; hanging out in her pool and playing with all of her animals.
She has 2 kids, Lisa (Randy) Fink and Troy Mills;
9 grandchildren;
brothers, Audley Rupright, Seth Rupright, Vern (Cindy) Rupright;
several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph; sister, Midge Grimes and brother, William Rupright.
