ORTON, Norma J. – of Davison, MI, age 89, passed away on Friday, September 16, 2022. A Funeral Service will be held 11AM Wednesday, September 21, 2022, at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison, MI 48423; Pastor Tim Pike officiating. Interment will take place following the service at Flint Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive visitors 4-7PM Tuesday and the hour prior to the service on Wednesday.
Norma was born in Flint, MI on March 31, 1933, daughter of the late Steve and Anne (Suley) Kovalcsik. She married Jack M. Orton on August 16, 1952, in Flint, Michigan and he preceded her in death in 2008. Norma graduated from Flint Tech High School. She was employed by Lewis & Knopf before Jack and her started a family. She enjoyed bible study, antiques, sewing and making dolls.
Norma is survived by her children, Craig Orton, Jennifer (Arthur) Dickerson; stepdaughter, Mary (Marc) Fougner; 4 grandchildren, Julie (Sean) Smith, Amber (Jason) Graves, Lindsey Snider, Liam Dickerson; many great-grandchildren; many other loving family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Suzanne; 3 sisters, Ann, Alice and Elaine.
