RARIDEN, CRISSY- Of Grand Blanc, age 74, died Saturday, May 17, 2025, with loving family by her side.

Per her wishes, cremation has taken place, and a private burial will take place at a later date.

Crissy was born in Flint, Michigan on August 4, 1950, the daughter of the late Robert and Christine (Micinski) Rariden.

Crissy was elected and served as Grand Blanc Township Clerk from 2012 to 2016. She was an ordained minister and was honored to officiate her nephew Sean and Ali Rariden’s wedding.

Crissy was a very spiritual person and had many close friends on her spiritual journey over the years. She was a creative artist, from writing to poetry, and painting. An avid rock and gemstone collector and spiritual healer. She always put out into the world what she wanted to receive, which was JOY. “Let me be and see love and joy in all I say and do”.

Throughout Crissy’s lifetime, she held many different roles that she held deep in her heart. Crissy was the Home School Liaison at Reid Elementary in Grand Blanc, a Deputy Sherriff with the Genessee Country Sheriff’s Department, a caseworker in a shelter for homeless women and children, a Teaching Parent in a group home for teenagers with severe mental health conditions, a child care worker in a residential treatment center for abused and neglected children, and a manager of a home for adults with mental health conditions.

In most of these positions, she saw how a simple letter could uplift a sad and lonely heart, which led to Crissy authoring her own book, Always, No Matter What, A Celebration of Life. Parents Letters to Their Children, in 2010. Her cherished niece, Shannon, helped her sort through letters and bring this book to life. Crissy also wrote a book for her family, about their father, that her family will cherish forever.

Surviving are brothers and sister, Robert (Lori) Rariden, Kevin (Vicki) Rariden, Terrence (Michelle) Rariden, Dennis (Mary) Rariden, Jude (Elizabeth) Rariden, Madeline (Rick) Weishuhn; Gerard (Tracy) Darby.

Crissy would plan Christmas gifts for her many cherished and adored nieces and nephews and many great nieces and nephews, months in advance. She was always going above and beyond to bring as much joy to the children as she could. Crissy had a very special bond with her niece Amy, her AimZdoodle.

She was preceded in death by her parents, stepfather David Darby, and her beloved niece Shannon Rariden.
