Gifford, Norman E.- of Mt. Morris, age 87, died Tuesday, December 21, 2021, at McLaren Flint. Honoring his wishes, cremation will be taking place, a celebration of life will be taking place January 22, 2022 at 3PM at the Clio Eagles Club, 13267 N. Sagniaw rd.
Norman was born on December 19, 1934, in Flint, Michigan, to the late Clyde and Lillian (Nelson) Gifford of Mt. Morris. He attended Mt. Morris High School and married the love of his life Peggy Gleason. Norm worked for General Motors at Buick Motor Division in their foundry for 38 years. He enjoyed deer and pheasant hunting every year. Norm built a beautiful cabin in Glennie, Michigan, on Northlake where he enjoyed fishing, and pontoon rides with Peg. He was active in his community and joined the Jaycees club and became a JCI Senator. Norm helped build the Jaycee Park in Mt. Morris and organized many fund raisers for the benefit of Mt. Morris.
He loved his wife Peg, and three sons: Norman, Lee, and Steven; and his many grandchildren and great grandchildren: Aron, Brandon, Ariana, Alicia, Gabriel, Aiden, Paige, Soloman and Max. He was preceded in passing by son, Steven, granddaughter, Ariana, brother Don and sister, Margret. He will be missed by many. Memorial contributions may be made to the family’s wishes.
