KULHANEK, Robert J. – of Chesaning, died Friday, January 12, 2024, surrounded by his family. He was 80 years of age.
Robert was born December 4, 1943, in Flint to the late William and Lucille (Deitering) Kulhanek and was a lifelong resident of the Chesaning area. He was a graduate of Chesaning Union Schools and was a farmer his entire life on the prairie farm. Robert was a devoted member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Albee Twp. and St. Christopher Council #2943 Knights of Columbus .
Surviving are: daughters, Tammy Clancy and Staci Kulhanek; siblings: David (Jalene) Kulhanek, Kenneth Kulhanek, and Carol Beldyga; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother-in-law, Larry Beldyga.
Funeral Mass will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday January 17, 2024, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Albee Twp. Fr. John Cotter officiating. Burial to follow in St. Mary’s Catholic cemetery in Albee Twp. Visitation will be held at Misiuk Funeral Home in Chesaning on Tuesday from 2-7 p.m. with a Vigil service at 6 p.m. and a rosary at 7 p.m. by the Knights of Columbus. At the request of the family, contributions may be made to St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Albee or the Knights of Columbus St. Chrisopher Council #2943.
