LEHOUX, Margaret A. – of Flint, age 78, passed away January 2, 2014 at her residence surrounded by her family. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 1:30 PM Friday, January 10, 2014 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 5199 Richfield Rd., Flint; Rev. Fr. Phillip Schmitter celebrant. Burial will follow in Smith-Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be 1-4 & 6-8 pm Thursday at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison. A Memorial Service under the auspices of the Davison K of C #4090 will be held at 7 pm Thursday followed by a Divine Mercy Chaplet reciting, then concluding with music and a sharing of Margaret’s life. This is to be a joyful celebration, please come and share your good stories. There will be one hour of visitation prior to the Mass on Friday at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Whaley Children’s Center or Gentiva Hospice.

Margaret was born in Millington, MI on June 15, 1935, daughter of the late Everett and Arlene (Harris) Bunting. She was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church since 1957 and was a Eucharistic Minister, past member and Treasurer of St. William’s Guild. Margaret was past Secretary and Treasurer of the Alter Society and chairperson for Christian Services. She was a Brownie Leader and foster mother to newborn babies through Catholic Social Services.

Margaret is survived by her husband of 59 years, Paul; children, Dianne (Doug) Smith, Karen (Pete Dunlap) Lehoux, Dr. Dan (Cindy) Lehoux, Paula (Joe) Kasper and Rebecca (Harry) Forehand; She was blessed with 11 grandchildren who thought she was the world’s best cookie baker and little great-grandson, Jacob, who also loved her cookies; brother, Ivan (Donna) Bunting; sister-in-law, Marilyn; many nieces and nephews; best friends, Bill and Shirley Freeman, Sharon, Kathy, Nancy and too many more to name. She was preceded in death by a twin brother and sister; brother, Don “Sonny” and grandfather, Jimmy Harris. The family would like to thank the staff of Gentiva Hospice for their wonderful care and concern.
