NAGY, Gerald D. - Of Flint, age 79, died Friday, December 9, 2022
at American House Grand Blanc.
Funeral service will be held 11am Wednesday, December 14, 2022 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint,
Pastor Steve Wood officiating.
Burial in Flint Memorial Park.

Visitation 4-8pm Tuesday and 10am Wednesday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Gerald was born in Flint, Michigan on May 25, 1943, the son of the late Stephen and Julia (Koziol) Nagy. On November 5, 1966, he married Janie Sharrett in Flint and they had a wonderful marriage of 39 years before her passing on March 17, 2005. Gerald was a press operator relief man at General Motors for 37.5 years. He was proud to serve in the Michigan National Guard service in Flint for 6.5 years. Gerald loved to dance and waterski when he was young, loved country music and was a Dolly Parton fan, and was an avid outdoorsman enjoyed camping, fishing, bow and arrow hunting and pike fishing.
Surviving are daughter, Celina (Mick) Poppa;
grandsons, Rane Poppa and Hunter (Kait) Poppa;
sister-in-law, Jean Nagy;
special nieces and nephews, Douglas (Marie) Nagy, Sandra (Rich) Staffne, Sue and Scott Hynes, David Myers, Karen Myers and Allen Myers;
and special friend, Freddie Wilkinson.
Gerald was also preceded in death by his sister, Jeanette Myers, brother, Donald Nagy. Special thank you to The Medical Team Hospice for of their care and support.
