HUMMEL, Chris C. - Of Flushing, age 87, was embraced by his Heavenly Father on Thursday, March 7, 2024.
Chris was born in Cleveland, Ohio on December 25, 1936, the son of the late Clarence and Martha (McAllister) Hummel. He married Judy Isaksen on August 9, 1958 in Mentor, Ohio. They shared over 65 years of love for Christ, each other and their family. Known for his quiet strength, he lived a life full of faith, love and acceptance.
Chris’ great sense of humor, his enthusiasm for sports; whether it be playing his favorite game of golf, shooting hoops with his grandkids, or just watching a game, his passion for these things along with his gift of grace and kindness will be carried on and not forgotten.
Surviving are wife, Judy;
Children, Marti Entrekin, Barb (Doug) Bailey, Denise (Jimmy) Cox, Beth (John) Harris;
13 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren;
Chris is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.
He was preceded in death by one sister and two brothers.
Funeral service will be held 3pm Sunday, March 10, 2024 at Flushing Community Church of the Nazarene, 9500 West Pierson Road, Flushing, MI 48433.

Visitation 1-4pm and 5-8pm Saturday, March 9, 2024 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint. Visitation 2pm Sunday at church until the time of the service.
