TOMASKY, STEVEN ULRIC - age 70, of East Jordan, formerly of Clio, died Friday, September 30, 2022. Private funeral services will be entrusted to Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint, MI 48507.
Steven was born November 15, 1951 in Flint the son of Steven and Clover (De'Aigle) Tomasky. He resided in East Jordan for the past 8 years coming from Clio. He married Cheri Shuert on September 18, 1993. Steve and Cheri were proud owners of the Nite Cap Tavern in Clio for 28 years. Surviving are: wife, Cheri; 2 sons, Michael Norton of Atlanta, GA and Troy (Abigail) Tomasky of Fenton; daughter Michelle (Brad) Stedry of South Lyon; granddaughter Tessa Stedry of South Lyon and niece Joy Hinkel of Westlake, OH. He was preceded in death by his parents; and his sisters, Joy Ann Tomasky in 1947 and Margaret Barrett Novak in 2017.
Steve was an exceptional athlete attending Bentley High School, he still maintains the school basketball record and led the football team as quarterback. After graduating from Central Michigan University he began his business career which led to the ownership of the Nite Cap Tavern in Clio, MI. Steve's many loves and talents included boating, cooking, sports of all kinds, happy hours and sharing his life and loves with family and friends. He was generous with his time and support of others and his kindness was evident to all. He was the love of Cheri's life and will be deeply missed every day by family and friends. He was a wonderful, compassionate man. Cheers!
