Jacquelyn Jeanine Acre, known affectionately as Jackie by her loved ones, was called to her heavenly home on October 2, 2025, at the age of 86. Born on December 24, 1938, Jackie's life was a testament to her unwavering faith, her nurturing spirit, and her boundless love for her family.
Jackie's journey began as a beacon of hope and joy to her parents, Hubert and Rachael, and she grew up surrounded by the warmth of her siblings, Dale (Ruth) Fitch and Janice Jones. Her life was further enriched when she married her beloved husband, Fred Acre, on a beautiful spring day, April 22, 1961. Together, they cultivated a life of love, faith, and dedication, welcoming their cherished children Scott, James (Jo), and Deanna into the world.
A woman of strong Christian faith, Jackie was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Otter Lake, where she served with grace and devotion. Her commitment to serving others extended into her professional life as well. Jackie pursued her passion for caring for others by earning her bachelor’s in nursing, which paved the way for her remarkable career as a nurse that spanned over four decades. Her gentle touch, compassionate heart, and unwavering dedication to her patients left an indelible mark on countless lives.
Beyond her professional and spiritual commitments, Jackie found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She was an avid scrapbooker and family genealogist, meticulously preserving precious family memories with artful care. Her flower gardens were a canvas of vibrant colors and fragrances, reflecting the beauty and creativity she brought into the world. Jackie's adventurous spirit led her to explore the grandeur of Alaska not once but seven times, each trip etching unforgettable memories into the fabric of her life's tapestry.
Jackie's legacy is carried on through her loving family, including her husband Fred, her children, her siblings, and her adored grandchildren Benjamin, Alastair (Maranda), Brendonn (Paola), and Mikey, as well as her cherished grandson-in-law Jonathan. She was a beacon of light and love to her great-grandchildren Azeriah and Abigail, who will grow up hearing stories of their great-grandmother's loving, thoughtful, and generous spirit. Though Jackie has now joined her parents, her grandchildren Joelle and Cassandra, and her great-grandchild Samuel in eternal rest, the impact of her love and the memories she created will forever be etched in the hearts of those she touched.
