Harenchar, Andrew “Buddy”- of Clio, age 94, passed away peacefully Wednesday, March 16, 2022, at Angel Manor. Funeral Mass will be held 11AM Tuesday, March 22, 2022, at St. John Vianney Church - 2415 Bagley St. Flint. Father Rev Firestone officiating. The family will receive visitors on Tuesday from 10AM until Mass. Cremation to follow. Interment will be held at a later date at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly with full military honors.

Andrew was born August 31,1927, in Juneau, Pennsylvania, to the late Andrew and Mary (Andrykovich) Harenchar. He worked for General Motors as a tool maker for 48 years. Andrew married Mary Jakus on September 15, 1951. He was a member of St. Leo the Great Catholic Church and attended St. John Vianney Catholic Church. Andrew was a World War Two Navy combat Veteran. He served on the USS Wisconsin, BB-6, it is a battleship. Andrew enjoyed hunting, fishing, and golfing. If you asked anyone at gm, they would tell you he was the best tool maker they ever saw. He was a loving husband and father and will be greatly missed by many.

Surviving: Wife of 71 years, Mary Harenchar; Children: Michael Harenchar, Carol Kroska and Cathy (Robert) Eddy; Grandson, Jason Duford; Great granddaughter, Lia; Brother: James Harenchar; several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in passing by brothers: Bernard Harenchar, John “Babe” Harenchar; sister: Leona Anspaugh.
