DUFFINEY, SUSAN J. – Of Grand Blanc, formerly of St. Ignace, age 77, died Tuesday, March 19, 2024 at her residence.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday, March 22, 2024 at Holy Family Catholic Church, 11804 South Saginaw Street, Grand Blanc, Father Leronio Vodivodi officiating.
Private burial in Flint Memorial Park.
Those desiring may make contributions to Holy Family Catholic Church.
Visitation 4 p.m. – 7 p.m. Thursday, March 21, 2024 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint. A Scripture Service will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday evening at the funeral home.
Susan will be at the church from 9 a.m. Friday until the time of the Mass.
Susan was born in Cheboygan, Michigan on May 22, 1946, the daughter of the late Harry and Sylvia (Hakola) Lee.
She graduated from St. Ignace Laselle High School in 1964. She received her Associates Degree from Mott Community College.
On July 9, 1967 she married James Duffiney.
She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church.
She loved golfing, going to senior Centers and senior Olympics.
Surviving are sons, Chuck Duffiney and Rob and wife Anna Duffiney;
grandchildren, Chelsea, Jackson, Chloe and Alexis;
sisters, Judy O’Brien, Mary and husband Tom Burris, Jeanne and husband Mike Smith;
many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James; grandson, C.J. and brother Fred Lee.
