Ray was born April 18, 1948, in Flint, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Voler John and Millicent Eleanor (Abbott) Ridley. He graduated from Northern Community High School class of 1967. Ray and Joy (Howard) were united in marriage on June 15, 1967 in Mt. Morris, MI. Ray was an avid car fanatic. He enjoyed going to car shows, working on cars, and tending to his classic 1948 Ford “Grace”. In his free time, he enjoyed woodworking and building, genealogy, photography, sprint car races, flower gardening, music in the parks, rodeos, “creative” engineering, and even road side shopping. Ray was a man that could fix anything! Ray worked for Chinonis Chrysler as a Service Manager. He worked for Chrysler Corporation from 1964 until he retired in 1995. That same year Ray started a business called Ray’s Spotless Window Cleaning. He continued to enjoy serving his customers up until the end. He valued his customers as true friends. Recently Ray served as a volunteer for Transportation Services, a division of SATA. Helping others gave him a great deal of gratification. This touched the lives of both him and his clients. Throughout his life, he lived by following the “Golden Rule.” Ray was loved by all and touched endless lives. He was a true believer in “Paying it Forward.”
