BENNETT, Gloria J. – Of Grand Blanc, age 79, died Thursday, November 24, 2022 at The Oaks at Woodfield.
Visitation 11 a.m. Saturday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, December 10, 2022 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint, Pastor Kennedy Carver and Pastor Andrew Auclair co-officiating.
Those desiring may make contributions to the American Cancer Society.
Gloria was born in Alma, Michigan on August 2, 1943, the daughter of the late Walter and Evelyn (Johnson) Sinko.
Gloria graduated from high school and then attended Mott Community College. She was a member of Bible Baptist Church, now known as Victory Baptist Church and was a member of the Golden Age Group.
Gloria loved animals, especially dogs, cooking, playing UNO and spending time with family and going out to dinner.
Mrs. Bennett retired from General Motors, Buick Motor Division and Bay City Powertrain Plant. She was a member of UAW Local #599.
Surviving are 2 daughters, Lori “Nga” Pfeiffer Bennett of Mattawan, MI and Jenny Bennett (Charlie) Sanders of Frankenmuth;
5 grandchildren, Sharr, Alena, Robyn, Madison and Charlie;
4 great-grandchildren, Julius, Aleyah, Adalynne and Daizee;
sister, Sharon Mont of Grand Blanc;
brother, Walt (Linda) Sinko of Vassar;
numerous nieces and nephews.
Special thanks to Dr. Henry Mendoza, Randy and staff at Bella Vita of Grand Blanc and The Oaks at Grand Blanc for all their excellent care given to Gloria.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Rosemary Sinko.
