Sharon Eleanor Wyczalek, 85 years old, of Grand Blanc, MI passed away on September 29, 2023.
Sharon was born on June 16, 1938 to Joseph and Fern Lapenas of Flint, MI. She graduated from Flint Central High School. She met Lawrence Wyczalek in December 1956 on a blind date at her Aunt and Uncle’s home; they married on August 16, 1958 and went on to have 5 children, 9 grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren.
Sharon was a busy stay at home mom shuffling 5 children to sporting and after-school events. She loved reading, traveling, sitting in the sun, going to the beach, hanging with her family/grandchildren, cooking, and making her famous cheesecake for Christmas gatherings. She was a wonderful, involved grandmother and great grandmother, and loved attending all of her grandchildrens’ sporting events. Additionally, she enjoyed watching Tiger baseball games, and especially the Hallmark Channel.
Sharon was preceded in death by parents Joseph and Fern Lapenas, brothers Gary and Tom, and grandson Chad Wyczalek.
Sharon is survived by husband Lawrence, their 5 children: Julie (Michael) Lewandowski, Mark (Jane) Wyczalek, Anne (Joel) Hooper, Michael (Tonya) Wyczalek, and Ellen Hunt. 8 Grandchildren: Damian Wyczalek, Lyndsay (David) Gregson, Megan (Carl) Boone, Krista Williams, Paige (Dom) Kryla, Brooke Hooper, Erik Wyczalek, and Brooklyn Wyczalek. 2 Great Grandchildren: Evelyn and Henry. 2 Sisters: Debbie Carter, and Susan Laurin.

A funeral visitation for Sharon will be held Friday, October 6, 2023 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Hill Funeral Home, 11723 South Saginaw Street, Grand Blanc, Michigan 48439. A funeral mass will occur Saturday, October 7, 2023 at 10:00 AM at Holy Family Catholic Church, 11804 S Saginaw St, Grand Blanc, Michigan. A burial will occur Saturday, October 7, 2023 at New Calvary Catholic Cemetery, 4142 Flushing Rd., Flint, Michigan.
