Mr. Edward Lamarr Johnstone was born April 4th, 1951 in Flint, Michigan. He was the loving son of Mr. & Mrs. Joseph Johnstone. Mr. Edward Johnstone was most known as “Lamarr” or “Ed” by friends and family. Lamarr was raised with a strong spiritual background and upbringing and loved the LORD. He attended and graduated from Beecher High School, where he played basketball as a teenager. Lamarr continued to reside in Flint, MI. until 2019, where he then relocated to Fort Worth, TX. with his daughter. Lamarr retired from General Motors after thirty-three proud years of service. Prior to working at GM, he spent two years as a Military Policeman in the United States Army. He was an avid sports fan who loved Detroit Lions football team, as well as various other basketball teams. Lamarr was a gentle spirit that loved Motown music, traveling, and regularly spending time with his family and friends.
Mr. Edward Johnstone leaves to cherish his memory: daughter, Tioko Littles of Fort Worth, TX., son LaMarr (Blaine) Johnstone of Monroe, MI.; special daughters Curlisha Creighton of Decatur, GA. and Caneita Creighton of Houston, TX.; special brothers Dion Harris of Flint, MI., and Robert Teer of Desoto, TX.; grandchildren Milton Littles Jr of Mountain Home, ID., Carter, Liem and Marleigh Johnstone of Monroe, MI., Chanel Creighton and Adam Muwakkil of Decatur, GA.; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends including, special Aunts Wanda Butler of Augusta, GA., and Lois Armstead of Flint, MI.; special niece Jacquanda Harris of Flint, MI.; special cousins Gail (Walter) Daniels of Yardley, GA.; Frances Billingsley-Watson of Willingboro, NJ.; Lawrencene (Josiah) Curry of Flushing, MI.; Teressa Billingsley of Flint, MI.; and Philip (Linda) King of Monessen PA.; also to include special friends Edith Richards, Carrie Washington and Bernice Dorris all of Flint, MI.
Mr. Edward Johnstone was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Johnstone; mother Alberta Johnstone; brother, Terrence Harris; sister, Yolanda Lowery; grandmother, Rovenna Armstead-King; niece, Monique Harris; and special cousins Frederick Billingsley, Darryl Billingsley, and Michael Billingsley Ali. |
