GUNDERSON, Mary Jane - Of Grand Blanc, age 92, died Thursday, February 11, 2021 at her residence.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11am Monday, February 15, 2021 at St. John Vianney Church, 2415 Bagley Street, Flint, MI.
Father Philip Schmitter officiating.
Burial in New Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
Contributions may be made to the ALS Association.
Visitation 10am Monday at church until the time of the Mass.
Mary was born in Flint on February 24, 1928, the daughter of the late Frank and Kathryn (Huntley) Ernst. She married Ronald Gunderson and he preceded her in death on November 13, 1998. She was a longtime parishioner of St. John Vianney Church. Mary enjoyed sewing and was a great cook. Above all else, Mary loved being with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Surviving are children, Karen (Chet) Richardson, Kathie Reay, Carol (Tony) Michael, Gary (Ellen) Gunderson, Patricia (Mike) Umphrey and Michael (Jane) Gunderson;
13 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Jane Marie Torosyan and brothers, Richard and Donald Ernst.
