FRANKENMUTH, formerly MILLINGTON – Mrs. Jacqueline Ardath “Jackie” Matzke, aged 76, our kind, creative, and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend returned home to her Lord and Savior on June 21, 2026, in the peace of her home surrounded by her loving family.
Jackie was born in Flint, Michigan, on March 31, 1950, to Vivan & Dolores Dalrymple (née Morgan). She was raised alongside her siblings and graduated from Millington High School with the Class of 1968. Through friends, she met the love of her life, Larry G. Matzke. They were wed on August 17, 1968, at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Frankenmuth. Together they have shared countless memories, raised their children, and celebrated over 57 years of marriage. Before retirement, Jackie was a hospitality supervisor with Independence Village in Frankenmuth. She enjoyed camping, shopping, scrapbooking, and riding motorcycles. Above all, Jackie’s happiest moments were spent with her family and spoiling her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved her.
Jackie is forever loved by her husband; Mr. Larry Matzke; children, Larry G. (Patty) Matzke II, and Tanya (Mitchell) Blake; grandchildren: Jenna (Bill) Abbott, Annie Matzke, Kaylee Matzke, Anthony Blake, Gheritt Blake, and Miya Blake; great-grandchildren: Sawyer, Mason, and Rylee; brothers, Jerry Dalrymple, and Mike (Darlene) Dalrymple; as well as nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
She is reunited with her parents, Vivan and Dolores Dalrymple; brother, James Dalrymple; and great-granddaughter, Nykole Blake.
Jackie’s family will receive guests at Hanlin Funeral Home in Millington from 4 – 7 PM on Wednesday, June 24, 2026. Funeral services will follow at the funeral home at 1 PM on Thursday, June 25, 2026; additional visitation will begin at 12 PM and last until the time of service. Chaplain Hal Hughey will officiate. Private interment will be held at Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly, Michigan.
Those desiring, may direct memorial donations to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
