REED, Jennie Mae – of Clio, age 84, died Sunday, August 27, 2023 at her residence. Honoring Jennie’s wishes, cremation has taken place and no service will be held at this time. Memorial contributions can be made to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
Jennie was born May 25, 1939 in Flint, Michigan to the late Louis and Marian (Palmer) Geer. She grew up in Flint, Michigan and attended school there. She married Charles Reed in 1977 and he preceded her in death. Jennie enjoyed knitting, drawing, word searches, and canning vegetables. She loved her cat Carrie. However, her greatest joy in life was her family.
Surviving are: Children, Ronald (Venesha) Merrill, Judy (Brian) Curtis, Merie Merrill; 9 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; sister, June Best; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Charles Reed; son, David Merrill; daughter, Betty Murray.
