HECK, Mildred I. – Of age 91, died Thursday, January 13, 2022 at Swank Assisted Living, with family present.
Private Entombment at Crestwood Cemetery, Reverend Jerome Taylor officiating.
Mildred was born in Jacksboro, Tennessee on July 1, 1930, the daughter of the late Odus D. and Bessie E. (White) Burris.
On May 29, 1948 she married Jake U. Heck “J.U.” in Lafollett, Tennessee.
She was a faithful member of Eastgate Baptist Church for 60+ years.
Surviving are children, Dianna (Lawrence) McDonell, James (Cheri) Heck, Karen (Scott) Violette, Juanita (Fred) Lukasavitz and Randy (Julie) Heck;
11 grandchildren;
15 great-grandchildren and
sister, Martha Smith of Tennessee.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jake U., in 1998; brothers, Dewey and Melvin Burris.
