Freda Turner, 78, of Flint passed away September 28, 2021 after a long term battle with cancer. Her children and her husband where by her side when she went to heaven.
She was born to Faith and John Downey of Flint, MI. Freda graduated from Flint Central in 1961. Freda married her soul mate and high school sweetheart James August 4th, 1962. Freda was a stay at home mother, where she raised her and James’s 5 children.
Freda is survived by her husband James; her children James (Mara) Turner Jr, Robert Turner, John (Billie) Turner, Tracy Lafayette, Dawn (Brian) Corbitt; her grandchildren Natashia, Kassie, Robert, Daniel, David, Andrew, Justin, John II, Michael, Joshua, Jenifer, Matthew, Gavin; 30+ great grand Children; sisters Barb Freeman and Franny Adcox; many nieces and nephews and extended family.
She is preceded in death by her parents Faith and John Downey and grandson Trey.
There will be a celebration of life for Freda October 9th 2021, from 1:00 pm until 5:00 pm at Pineview Estates, 6152 N Genesee RD, Flint, MI 48506.
