HADSALL, Darryl E. “Butch” – of Birch Run, age 77, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 30, 2023, at Ascension St. Mary’s Hospital in Saginaw. Funeral services will be held 11AM Thursday, September 7, 2023, at Christ Lutheran Church – 8101 Poellet St., in Birch Run. Pastor Sue Trinklein officiating. Cremation will follow. The family will receive visitors at the O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Birch Run on Wednesday, from 11AM until 6PM, and at the church on Thursday from 10AM until the time of service at 11AM. A ceremony conducted by the Clio Eagles will be held at 3PM Wednesday afternoon at the funeral home.
Darryl was born April 2, 1946, in Saginaw, Michigan, to the late Robert and Mary (Brown) Hadsall. He lived in Birch Run all his life and graduated from Birch Run High School with the class of 1964. Butch honorably served in the Michigan Army National Guard from 1964 until 1967. He worked as a supervisor with Consumers Energy for 27 years before retiring in 1992. Butch was a member of Christ Lutheran Church in Birch Run, a charter member of the Birch Run Moose Lodge #2426, and the Clio Fraternal Order of Eagles #3609 for 44 years. He loved the casino life and visited most casinos in Michigan and traveled to many others within the U.S. Butch enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending his winters in Arizona. He lived life to the fullest and always had good stories to share. Butch loved spending time with his beloved family and dear friends.
Surviving are: Brothers: Larry (Diana) Hadsall, Brady Hadsall, and Gene (Karen Adams) Hadsall; Sister, Brenda Nowicki; Sister in law, Kathy Hadsall; Special friends: Chuck Koester, and David “Doc” Cook; Many nieces, nephews, other loving family members and friends. Darryl was also preceded in death by: Brothers: Robert “Snookie” Hadsall in 1954, and Randall Hadsall in 2023.
