MANSSUR, Irene Marie – of Flint, MI, age 89, passed away Friday, September 18, 2020. A Funeral Mass will be held 12 PM on Wednesday, September 23, 2020 at St. John Vianney Catholic Church, 2415 Bagley St., Flint, 48504; Fr. Tom Firestone celebrant. Interment will follow in New Calvary Catholic Cemetery Visitation will be from 3-8 PM on Tuesday, with a Rosary prayed at 7 PM at Reigle Funeral Home, 5501 W. Pierson Rd., Flushing, 48433 and one hour prior to the Mass at the church on Wednesday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Making Strides Against Breast Cancer of Flint.
Irene was born in Bay City, MI on November 14, 1930, daughter of the late Merle and Agnes Knight. She married Norman S. Manssur on June 19, 1948 at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church and he preceded her in death on July 28, 2017. Irene was a member of St. John Vianney Catholic Church in Flint. She was a very proud breast cancer survivor. Irene’s greatest joy in life was loving and caring for her family. Irene is survived by her children, Danny (Sherry) Manssur, Dennis Manssur, and Dale (Terri) Manssur; daughter-in-law, Barbara Manssur; son-in-law, Bob Miller; 11 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great grandson. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 69 years, Norman; son, Donald Manssur; and daughter, Darlene Miller.
