McNEW, Bonnie Jean (Hall) (Osmon) – of Davison, MI, age 92, passed away Sunday, November 20, 2022. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 2 PM Wednesday, November 23, 2022 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 404 North Dayton Street, Davison, MI 48423; Rev. Fr. Andrew A. Czajkowski celebrant. Entombment immediately following the Mass in St. John Catholic Cemetery. The family will receive visitors 4-7 PM Tuesday, November 22, 2022 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Road, Davison, MI 48423 and 1-2 PM Wednesday, November 23, 2022 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Outreach East or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, in Bonnie’s memory.
Bonnie was born in Flint, MI on July 10, 1930, daughter of the late Clarence and Garnett (Halloran) Osmon. She was a graduate of St. Mary Catholic High School Class of 1948. Bonnie retired from the Genesee County Clerk’s Office in 1988 after 15 years of service. After retirement, Bonnie worked part-time at Edward Jones for many years. She was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. Bonnie enjoyed traveling, cooking, baking, playing cards and spending time with her grandchildren.
Bonnie is survived by 7 children, Cheryl (Charles) Ross, Wesley (Dorinda) Hall, Gregory (Carol) Hall, Katrina (Dave) Johnson, Matthew (Sonia) Hall, Kevin Hall and Steven Hall; 15 grandchildren, Coby, Chrisa, Richard, Shelly, Ashley, Alan, Courtney, Ashtyn, Marissa, Crystal, Jackie, Shane, Shannon, Josh and Joe; 9 great-grandchildren, Aaron, Derek, Isabella, Emily, Sydney, Jessica, Ethan, Tyler and Lyncoln; 4 great-great-grandchildren, Macy, Austin, Kyzer and Malachi; sister, Diane Soper; many other extended family members and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Garnett Osmon; husband, George McNew; brother, Gary Osmon; husband and father of her children, Norman Hall and brother-in-law, Gary Soper.
