NORMAN, June Gail - Age 90, of Flint, passed away Wednesday, December 28, 2022. Funeral services will be held 5:00 PM Friday, December 30, 2022 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek (A live stream of the service will be available on June's obituary page at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com). Pastor Brad Foster officiating. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Friday from 11:00 AM until the time of the service. Those desiring may make contributions to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
June was born December 1, 1932 in New Lothrop, the daughter of Charles and Bessie (Sweatland) Caster. She was a graduate of Flint Central High School. She was in the ice cream business for 50 years. She was a member of American Business Women Association, 30 year member of the Sweet Adelines, Queen Mother of Red Hat Society Chapter and a member of the Carman-Ainsworth Senior Citizens Group. June also was a volunteer for Meals of Wheels in Kalamazoo and a volunteer at Hurley Hospital. She volunteered and helped organized events at Barbour Hall Military School in Kalamazoo.
Surviving are: her sons, Leslie Norman of Flint and Kirk Norman of Fenton; daughter, Susan Purdy of Kalamazoo; grandchildren, Nicole (John) Akridge of Fenton, Kyle Norman (Liz Kragel) of Swartz Creek, Jadean Norman (Dimitri Tournas) of Connecticut, Julia (Nick) Gray of Texas, Maria Braganini (Jason Green) of Colorado and Dominic Braganini (Jes Harken) of Royal Oak; great grandchildren, Edward, Isabelle, Harper, Evan and Sloane; nieces, Stacy (Mike) Kapture of Florida, Laurie Norman and Patrice (Stan) Green; nephews, Danny (Larissa) Lesho of Grand Blanc and Greg (Missy) Norman; grandniece, Jennifer Schramm; grandnephew, Michael Lesho; and several cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Edward William Norman; and sister, Sally Lesho. Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com. |
