SHANNON, Thomas Lee – of Davison, MI, age 64, passed away Wednesday, January 26, 2022 at McLaren – Flint. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated 1 PM Tuesday, February 1, 2022 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 404 North Dayton Street, Davison, MI 48423; Rev. Fr. Andrew A. Czajkowski celebrant. Cremation will take place following the Mass. The family will receive visitors 12-7 PM Monday, January 31, 2022 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Road, Davison, MI 48423 and 12-1 PM Tuesday, February 1, 2022 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church.
Tom was born in Detroit, MI on June 20, 1957, son of the late Richard and Margaret (McGlinch) Shannon. He married Tricia Pearson on August 22, 2001. Tom was in car sales for 33 years. He started his career with the Graff organization, who have been part of his family ever since. Tom became a mentor to many and always had a thoughtful piece of advice. He loved what he did for a living and missed it when he had to retire. Tom loved spending time at his cottage on Higgins Lake, relaxing on the pontoon surrounded by many great friends. He loved the game of golf and wore his golf shoes to every occasion, saying “You never know when a game will show up.” Tom played hard, loved hard and had the best outlook on life. His wife and his children were his life.
Tom is survived by his wife, Tricia Shannon; 4 children, Jamie (Adrian) Shannon-Lamb, Joseph Shannon, Joseph (Kelsey) Neminski and Victoria Neminski; 5 siblings, Kathleen Shannon, Tim (Mary) Shannon, Colleen (Gary) Townsend, Eileen (Dana) Evans and Mike (Gay) Burt; sister-in-law, Jessica (Jeff) Humphrey; many nieces, nephews, numerous other loving family members and good friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Margaret Shannon; sister, Maureen Burt; parents-in-law, Ken and Patricia Pearson; 2 brothers-in-law, Ed Councilor and Cavin Councilor.
