GARRISON, Robert “Bob” M. – of Goodrich, MI, age 74, passed away Monday, October 18, 2021, at Ascension Genesys Hospital. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated 2 PM Friday, October 22, 2021, at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 404 N. Dayton St., Davison, MI 48423. Rev. Fr. Andrew Czajkowski, celebrant. Cremation will follow the Mass. The family will receive visitors from 2-7 PM Thursday, October 21, 2021, at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison, MI 48423. A Rosary will be prayed 7 PM Thursday at the funeral home. There will be one hour of visitation prior to the mass at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Outreach East and the American Red Cross.
Robert was born in Flint, MI on December 28, 1946, son of the late Ernie and Betty (DeLuce) Garrison. He married Carol Webster on October 2, 1996. Bob served his country proudly in the US Army during Vietnam. He retired from Delphi in December 1998. Bob enjoyed volunteering and dedicated his retired years as a member of the Red Cross and Outreach East. He was an accomplished artist and was a lifetime member of the Catholic Church. Bob was the most caring and kindhearted man everyone knew. He quickly made friends of everyone he met. Bob was a huge sports fan, especially the Detroit Tigers and Detroit Lions. He traveled around the world, but his favorite place to travel was anywhere he could take his grandkids while enjoying watermelon and coney dogs. Bob loved the outdoors and enjoyed fishing and camping. He was a self-proclaimed chef and enjoyed sharing his famous marinara sauce.
Robert is survived by his wife, Carol Garrison; 4 children, Bryce (Sandy) Garrison, Shelley Reece, Debbie (Chad) Zudel and Paul (Dawn) Webster; daughter-in-law, Gail Garrison; 14 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren; sibling, Dennis (Kim) Garrison; beloved cat, Cheeto; many other loving family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, son, Dan Garrison; son-in-law, Luke Reece; brother, Larry Garrison.
