Barry Leon Green, a cherished husband, father, and grandfather, departed from this world on December 2, 2023, in Millington, MI, at the age of 75. Born on April 12, 1948, in Dudley, Missouri, Barry's life was a testament to the values of family, dedication, and joy in the simple pleasures of life.
Barry's journey began as the beloved son of Joseph and Veronica Green. He grew up in a nurturing environment alongside his brother, Larry Joe, who preceded him in death. The foundation of love and family he experienced in his early years became the cornerstone of his own life as he built his family with the love of his life, June Lipka. Barry and June united in marriage on a winter's day, December 9, 1967, in Rochester, MI, and together they created a legacy of love and commitment.
The proud father of two daughters, Donna (Brian) Stambaugh, and Carol (David) Stambaugh, Barry instilled in his family the importance of togetherness and support. The joy of his life multiplied with the arrival of his grandchildren, Tyler, Nicholas (Airen), Lindsay, and Emily, whom he adored and cherished with every fiber of his being. Barry's role as a family man extended to his many nephews and nieces, who found in him a kind and guiding presence.
Barry's professional life was marked by dedication and a strong work ethic. However, it was outside the workplace that Barry truly found his bliss. An avid outdoorsman, he relished in camping and fishing on his boat. He was also an excellent softball pitcher, a sport he played with passion along with his family.
Above all, Barry was a family man. His love for his grandchildren was unparalleled, and he often said that all he needed in this world was his family. This sentiment was the hallmark of his life, a life lived with kindness, intelligence, and a handy touch that could fix anything that needed mending.
Barry's legacy is one of love, laughter, and the warm embrace of a life well-lived. His kind spirit, intelligent mind, and capable hands will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. As we bid farewell to Barry Leon Green, we celebrate a life that was filled with the richness of family, the joy of the outdoors, and the love that binds us all together.
