TRAVIS, Nancy Ann - Of Flushing, age 90, has gone to join her husband, George, in Heaven on Saturday, November 14, 2020.
A private funeral service will be held at the Swartz Funeral Home 1225 West Hill Road, Flint.
Burial in Great Lakes National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Flushing Historical Society, West Flint Church or Carriage Town Ministries.
Nancy was born in Owosso, Michigan on March 15, 1930, the daughter of the late Clare and Jessie (Bartlett) Smith. She married George Travis on April 28, 1950 in Flint and he preceded her in death on January 21, 2010. She was a member of West Flint Church of the Nazarene for over 40 years and affiliated with Carriage Town Mission. Nancy was also a member of the Flushing Historical Society. Mrs. Travis was an associate at Hudson's Department Store for several years. She was also a nurse's aide.
Surviving are children, Laura (Thomas) Meyer of Flint, Reverend Michael Clare (Janel) Travis of Urichsville, Ohio, George Richard II (Janet) Travis of Burt, Michigan and Thomas N. Travis of Flint;
grandchildren, Autumn, Heather, Heath, Jayme, Megan, Joel, Madeline, Christian, Ashley and Mandy;
great-grandchildren, Arianna, Kristano, Sean, Ella and Alexandre;
great-great-grandson, Beckett;
and several nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by her parents, Clare and Jessie Smith; brother, Clare A. Smith, sister, Barbara Wambold and a dear friend Madeline (Bellinger) Bueche.
