Rentfrow, Janet Lee - of Flint, age 73, died Tuesday, January 17, 2023 at her residence after a long battle with cancer. She was surrounded by the love of her family for her final days.
A native of Fort Wayne, Indiana, born November 25, 1949, to Paul Francis Sr. and Betty June (Friedrich) Rentfrow, she migrated to Flint over 40 years ago and decided to stay and raise her family.
A devoted mother and grandmother, she dedicated her life to her family. She was their safe harbor during the rough sea in life’s journeys.
She could be found crocheting blankets with impossible to remember color codes to keep her family warm. It brought her many memories and a life well lived.
Though gone from this world, her spirit remains in the values she instilled in those around her, and her strength and spirit will continue to live on for generations to come.
She leaves behind two sisters Judy (Kermit) Vandervelde, Carla Richardson, and a brother, Rick (Lisa) Rentfrow. Three sons, George (Steven), William (Billy), and Kristopher (Kris), and a daughter Megan, along with her eight grandchildren Rachael, Tayler, James, Patience, Izabella, Phoenix, Itoya, and Koda, 14 nieces and nephews, and 18 great nieces and nephews, and her best friend/adopted sister Pamela (Sam) Tester.
She was preceded in death by her parents Paul Francis Sr and Betty June Rentfrow, sister Sally Colerick, and three brothers Paul Rentfrow Jr., Mike Rentfrow, and Guy Rentfrow.
Per her request cremation has already taken place and no service will be held at this time as she believed each end has a new beginning.
Her wish is that her loved ones think fondly of the great memories, carry her with them and begin today writing your new chapter in this amazing book we call life.
