HOLT, Ila Marie - Of Clio, age 89, died Thursday, August 23, 2018.
Funeral service will be held 1pm Thursday, August 30, 2018 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint,
Reverend James Tuttle officiating.
Burial in Sunset Hills Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Genesee County Humane Society or the Eastern Food Bank of Michigan.
Visitation 2-8pm Wednesday and 12pm Thursday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Ila was born in Lansing, Michigan on December 12, 1928, the daughter of the late Milo and Charlotte (Law) Miller. Ila helped decorate for church functions and weddings. She was also an expert seamstress and was a member of Hope United Methodist Church.
Surviving are daughter, Cheryl (Carol) Holt;
grandchildren, Michael (Stephene) Joseph, Laura (Richard) Holmes. and Lucas (Caryn) Holt;
great-grandchildren, Skylar Joseph, Gabriel Joseph, Jack Joseph, Julia Joseph, Christine Holmes and Michael Holmes;
many nieces and nephews;
sisters-in-law, Helen Miller and Lorraine Holt;
and beloved puppies, Penny and Lily.
Ila was preceded in death by her husband, Evert L. Holt, son, Gregory A. Holt, sister, Joyce M. Scott, brother, Lawrence Miller and nephew, Jonathan Holt.
