KEELIN, Sandra “Sandy”– of Davison, Michigan, age 72, passed away on October 3, 2023. A Funeral Service will be held 11 AM Saturday, October 7, 2023, at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd, Davison, MI 48423; her Uncle Franklin Birdwell will officiate. Interment will take place following the service in Pine Grove Cemetery. The family will receive visitors 2-7 PM Friday and 10-11 AM Saturday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
She was born on October 2, 1951, to her parents Kelly Wallace and Noble (James) Wright. She married Phillip Keelin on August 7, 1971, which marked the beginning of her journey as a wife, a dedicated homemaker, mother and eventually a grandmother.
Throughout her life, she worked in various roles, including many years at the Davison Racquetball Club, where she supervised the childcare nursery. Her dedication to her work shows her commitment to providing a safe and nurturing environment for children.
Sandy also worked in the direct care field, where she assisted physically and mentally handicapped adults. This type of work demonstrates her compassion and willingness to help those in need.
It's clear that Sandy and Phil were active members of their community, as they spent a lot of time getting to know the Davison area. Her interests extended to hobbies like bowling and arts and crafts, suggesting she had a creative side and enjoyed staying active.
Above all, Sandy cherished her role as a grandmother, as she loved spending time with her six grandchildren. Family was clearly very important to her, and she likely created many wonderful memories with her loved ones.
Sandra's life seems to have been one filled with love, compassion, and a deep connection to her family and community.
Sandra is survived by her husband, Phillip; children, Tate (Deborah) Keelin and Angy Keelin; grandchildren, Nicholas, Brendan, Layla, Destiny, Payton and Averey; siblings, Bob (Judy) Wallace, Cheryle (Rick) Davis and Brad Wright; many other loving family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her brothers, James Wright and David Wright.
