ALANDER, Keith Harold - Age 75, of Flint, passed away November 3, 2023. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, November 8 at Sharp Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Rd., Grand Blanc. Interment 12:30 PM Wednesday November 8 at Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly. Visitation will be 2-8 PM Tuesday, November 7; and one hour before the service on Wednesday November 8 at the funeral home. Those desiring may make contributions to American Diabetes Association, Disabled American Veterans or American Lung Association.
Keith was born in Flint, November 2, 1948 son of Harold and Lorraine (Hoghtaling) Alander. He graduated from Ainsworth High School. He married Kathleen Barrett on September 12, 1970 in Flint. Keith served in the U.S. Army during Vietnam. He retired from GM Chevy V8 with many years of service. Keith enjoyed bowling (he was a 300 bowler), golfing, and hunting. He loved his wife and his family. He was a great mechanic. He was selfless and would help anyone in need. He never had any complaints.
Keith is survived by his wife of 53 years, Kathleen; his daughter Heather; grandchildren, Travis (Jessica) Alander, Madison Alander, Haley Alander and Tyler Denzer; great grandchildren, Kinsley Alander, Dallas Alander, and Wyatt Huff; sister Carolyn Parker; brother, David (Red) Bradford. He was preceded in death by his parents, his son, Kevin Keith Alander; sister, Sally Alander; and brother-in-law Pat Barrett.
