BURTON, Ronald Lee – of Flint, MI, age 70, passed away on Tuesday, October 26, 2021, at Hurley Medical Center. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
Ron was born in New Madrid, MO on September 3, 1951, son of the late Lloyd and Inez Pearl (Baker) Burton. He married Victoria Selleck on August 10, 1996. Ron enjoyed watching basketball and football. He was a huge Golden State Warriors fan. Ron was an avid gardener and grew as many things as he possibly could. Though he had never met her yet, he adored pictures of his great-granddaughter, Tirzah. Ron worked as a Histology Technician at McLaren Lapeer Region Hospital, retiring in 2015.
Ronald is survived by his wife, Victoria; daughters, Jennifer (Matt) Elroy of Fairbanks, AK and Amanda (Steve) Fisk of Colorado; grandchildren, Timothy (Hannah) Elroy, Andrew and Benjamin; great-grandchildren, Tirzah and Austin; sisters, Pat Pierce of TN and Sharon (Jerry) Fredenburg of Carson City, NV. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Mary Glasstetter; brothers, Bobby and Wayne Burton. The family would like to say a special thank you and appreciation to the CCU and PICU nurses at Hurley Medical Center.
