ENLE, Theodore “Ted” Leonard – of Flint, age 90, passed away on Wednesday, September 14, 2022. A Memorial Service will be held 3 PM Monday, September 19, 2022, at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison, MI 48423; Rev. Harold K. Polk, Jr. officiating. Cremation has taken place and interment will take place at Great Lakes National Cemetery at a later date. The family will receive visitors the hour prior to the service on Monday. Wearing masks to the memorial service is optional. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Davison Senior Center.
Ted was born in Flint, MI on April 30, 1932, son of the late Leonard and Mary (Eschenwick) Enle. He married Joanne Hatch on March 30, 1957. He proudly served in the United States Army where he served time in Korea and was honorably discharged at the rank of Sgt. Ted retired from General Motors in 1989 after 35 years of service. He belonged to the Masonic Fellowship Lodge #490 and Elf Khurafeh Shriners. Ted and Joanne spent many years square dancing. They enjoyed the last 25 winters in Mesa, AZ. He loved his neighbors and enjoyed seeing them pass by as he sat in the garage.
Ted is survived by wife, Joanne “Jo”; sons, Jeff (Steve Anderson) and David (Shelli Gymer Johnstone); 3 grandsons, Eric (Jessica), Jacob (Cheyenne) and Nicholas; 2 great-grandchildren, Benjamin and Mileena; best friends, Bob and Marion Isaacson; many beloved friends and neighbors.
