HOHN, Nancy E. – of Flint, age 72, went home to be with her Lord, Wednesday January 6, 2021, at Laurel Heights in Flint. Family will receive friends Tuesday January 12, 2021, from 10:00 AM – 12 noon at the O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio. Due to Covid 19 and government regulations, only 25 people are allowed in our chapel at one time and masks are required. Thank you for your understanding. A private funeral and burial service will be held. The family hopes to have a Celebration of Life Service in the summer when it is safe to gather. Memorial contributions can be made to Landmark Baptist Church of Clio or American Cancer Society.
Nancy was born March 26, 1948 in Poplar Bluff, Missouri to the late William Reed and Ida Naomi (Reeves) Powell. She was raised in Flint, Michigan and graduated from Flint Central High School with the Class of 1966. Nancy went on to attend the University of Michigan - Flint. On May 6, 1972 she married Bobby J. Hohn in Flint. Nancy worked for the Flint Public Schools, mainly at their Durant-Tuuri-Mott Elementary School with Special Needs Children; she retired after 15 years of faithful service. She was a longtime member of the Landmark Baptist Church in Clio, and in her free time, Nancy enjoyed crafting, making cards and watching Michigan Football.
Surviving are: Husband of 48 years Bobby of Flint; Son, Jonathan (Christina) Hohn of Phoenix, AZ; Sister, Pam (Al) Baker of Burton; Brother, Bill (Cindy) Powell of Burlison, TX; Nieces, Megan (Jimmy) Williams and family, Heather Powell and family and Kisten Powell; Nephews, Scott and Chad Baker; Cousins, Sherry Forrest, Jerry (Ray) Saltzman, Jane Thompson and many other cousins and many wonderful friends. She is preceded in death by her son Adam J. Hohn in 2000 and her parents Reed and Naomi Powell. The family would like to give a special Thank You to the staff of Laurel Heights for their wonderful care and her Landmark Baptist Church Family.
