Floyd Douglas Badder, of Flushing, Michigan, age 76, died Tuesday, December 7, 2021. Funeral service will be 4 p.m. Wednesday, December 15, 2021 at Rossell Funeral Home. Rev. Bruce Badder will officiate. Cremation to follow. Visitation will be at the funeral home Wednesday from 12 noon until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Flushing Firefighters, Inc.
Floyd was born in Flint, Michigan on February 2, 1945 to Joseph and Mary (Hemstreet) Badder. He joined the Flushing Fire Department at 18 years old and served for 25 years. He retired from his career at General Motors after 40 years and 8 months and in his free time loved deer hunting, fishing, and tending to his hobby farm.
Floyd is survived by his sons, Michael (Cindy) Badder and Jon (Tonya) Badder; grandchildren, Amber (Eric) Schlemmer, David (Dani) Smith, Brandon (Samantha) Smith, Cassidy Badder, Chase Badder, Joni (Kenny) Brown, Kirkland (Haylee) Badder, and Emily (Courtney) Castano; many great grandchildren; siblings, Rev. Bruce Badder, Bonnie (Frank) Yount, Connie Natzel, Ernest (Susanne) Badder, and Sheila (Mike) Natzel; brother-in-law, Ralph Hetherington; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother, Russell Badder; sister, Cecilia Hetherington; sister-in-law, Donna Badder; and his parents.
