HAMELIN, NORMAN RICHARD – Of Flushing, age 82, died Thursday, June 22, 2023 at Landings of Genesee Valley.
Memorial Mass will be celebrated 10am Friday, June 30, 2023 at St. Pius X Catholic Church, G3139 Hogarth Avenue, Flint, Father Anthony Strouse officiating.
Cremation has taken place.
Memorial visitation 4-8pm Thursday at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint. Memorial visitation 9am Friday at church until the time of the Memorial Mass.
Those desiring may make contributions to Landings of Genesee Valley Life Enrichment Programs or Gentiva Hospice.
Norm was born in Biddeford, ME on May 22, 1941, the son of the late Joseph and Mabel (LaVordiere) Hamelin.
On July 28, 1973 he married Linda Bartlette.
He was a member of St. Pius X Catholic Church and was an Usher.
Mr. Hamelin was retired from Industrial Mutual Association and St. Pius X Catholic Church.
Surviving are wife, Linda;
children, Norman Jr.,
Mark (Kathy),
Annette (Steven) Downing,
Phillip (Mary),
Marie (Jay) Snodgrass;
11 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his sisters, Claire Demers and Yvette Hamelin; brothers, Renald “Luke” and John and granddaughter, Jennifer.
