RACINE, STEPHEN PATRICK – Of Grand Blanc, age 38, died Saturday, December 16, 2023.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday, December 21, 2023 at Holy Family Catholic Church, 11804 South Saginaw Street, Grand Blanc, Father Leronio Vodivodi officiating.
Burial in New Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
Visitation 1 p.m. – 8 p.m. Wednesday, December 20, 2023 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road. A Rosary will be prayed at 6 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Stephen will be at the church from 9 a.m. Thursday until the time of the Mass.
Stephen was born on December 1, 1985 in Grand Blanc, the youngest of eight children. He attended Holy Family Catholic School and graduated from Powers Catholic High School in 2004. He attended The University of Olivet earning a degree in Insurance and Risk Management in 2008.
He was a dedicated insurance professional for fifteen years, working with both national and regional insurance brokers. His career was augmented by a warm smile and a charming personality that filled the room wherever he went. Steve was a consummate sports fan. He enjoyed playing golf, lacrosse, biking and running.
He was an avid U of M and Detroit Lions fan, always ending his texts with “Go Blue”. It wasn’t uncommon to be greeted by Stephen with a hug and a funny quote from a movie that would make you break out in laughter. His sense of humor was contagious.
Faith and Family were the focus of Stephen’s life. Left behind to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Lindsey;
their two precious daughters, Delia (4) and Violet (2), whom he adored.
He had many lifetime friends even going back to kindergarten.
He will always be loved and cherished by his parents, John and Katharine Racine; sisters, Lisa (Scott) Burau, Angela (Michael) Blondin, Karen (Todd) Pietras, Monica Racine, Christina (Steve) Toth, Cheryl (Cort) Niemi and brother, Michael Racine; 27 nieces and nephews; 6 great-nieces and nephews; several aunts, uncles and many cousins.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents,
Lloyd and Bea Racine, Dominic and Betty Militello; his aunt, Michele Racine; uncles, Tom Racine and Jim Militello.
