BLACK, Charles E. “Chuck” – Of Flint, age 89, passed away Monday, August 16, 2021 at Baptist Memorial Hospital North Mississippi.
Funeral service will be held 10:30am Tuesday, August 24, 2021 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road.
Burial to follow at Great Lakes National Cemetery with Army Honors at 12:30pm.
Visitation will take place 6pm-8pm on Monday at the funeral home.
Chuck was born on April 15, 1932, the son of the late Claude and Hazel (Robinson) Black. He went on to proudly serve in the U.S. Army. Chuck retired from General Motors after 40 years. Chuck enjoyed spending time with family and friends, fishing and old cowboy movies.
Surviving are wife, Pamela Black;
children, Thomas (Sherry) Black, Charles E. Black, Jr. and Sherry Sellers;
10 grandchildren;
16 great-grandchildren;
And siblings, Willie “Marvin” Black, Phyllis McMullen and Joan McBean.
He was preceded in death by his son, Kenny Black; daughter, Yolanda “Loni” Markle; granddaughter, Brandy Denson; and sister, Rita Urban.
