GUERTIN, Gerald B. - Age 83, of Linden, passed away November 8, 2021. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11 AM Saturday, November 13, 2021 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 600 N. Adelaide St., Fenton. Fr. Robert Copeland Celebrant. Burial will follow in St. John Cemetery. Visitation will be held 2-4 & 6-8 PM Friday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Rd., Fenton, with a rosary at 7 PM. Visitation will also be held on Saturday from 10AM until the time of Mass at the church. Those desiring may make contributions to the Crohns and Colitis Foundation (crohnscolitisfoundation.org) . Gerald was born April 2, 1938 in Garden, MI, the son of John Peter and Flora (Perron) Guertin. He was married to Myrna Marie Schneider on June 13, 1959. He worked on the Mackinac Bridge and was a Merchant Marine. He also had worked at Inland Quarry in Manistique and for the Schoolcraft County Road Commission. Mr. Guertin retired from General Motors after 33 years of service. Gerald loved music, playing the guitar and spending time with his wife, kids and grandkids. He is survived by his wife, Myrna; children, Donna (Dana) Thompson, Christopher Guertin, David (Deborah) Guertin, Lisa (Mark) Briggs, Shari Guertin, Annette (Jason) Pinder and Peter (Doni) Guertin; 18 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; brother, John (Pat) Guertin; sister, Sharon (Robert) Shafer.
