Adella Rose (McBride) Lougheed went home to be with her husband James and her Lord and Savior on April 23, 2022. Visitation will be held from 4pm-8pm on Thursday, April 28, 2022 at Brown Funeral Home - 1480 E. Hill Road, Grand Blanc, Michigan. Funeral service will be held at 11am with one hour of visitation prior to the service on Friday, April 29, 2022 at Flint Baptist Temple - 1430 E. Bristol Road, Burton, Michigan. Interment will be at Crestwood Cemetery, Grand Blanc, Michigan.
Adella was born June 11, 1936 to parents Glenn V. and Olive (Byers) McBride. She graduated from Linden High School in 1954. She married her childhood sweetheart, James D. Lougheed on June 28, 1954. Together, they raised five children. Adella became a pastor's wife at age 20 faithfully serving with James at Bible Baptist Church from 1956-1960 and Flint Baptist Temple from 1960-2004. She loved her birds and flower gardens, spending time with her 25 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren. She also enjoyed several trips to foreign countries including the Holy Land, and Missionary trips to Brazil and Costa Rica.
Surviving are her children, Douglas Lougheed, Donald (Debbie) Lougheed, Daniel (Mary) Lougheed, Devon (Amy) Lougheed, Dayna (Edward) LeGrow; sisters: Gail (Jerry) McNew, Susie (Henry) Hagenstein; sister's in law: Sheila McBride and Margret (James) Wilson; many nieces, nephews and cousins; and her dear friends at Flint Baptist Temple. She was preceded in death by her husband, James; parents; in-laws Rev. Donald and Helen Lougheed; brothers, Duane McBride and Kent McBride; sister, Delores Conroy; brother in law, James Conroy; nephew, Jeffery McBride; sisters-in-law, Dawn Lougheed, Donna Cowoski and Carolynn McBride.
