Len was a lifelong Michigander. Born in Traverse City, he attended Rochester High School and Northwood University. Len was a proud and patriotic veteran, having served in the Air Force from 1970 to 1976. He worked, and eventually ran the family business, Medallion Pen Service in Detroit for many years before opening Countryside Campground in Harrison. From family camping and competing as a youth on his state champion rifle club, he developed a lifelong love of the outdoors–a love Len shared with his children and grandchildren as a life member of the NRA. Later in life, Len participated in multiple Mackinac Bridge walks and could be found roaming the beaches and mountains up and down the Atlantic coast. He will be remembered by his family and friends for his love of God, family, country, and nature.
